The East Union Lancers's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They breezed by Modesto on the road to the tune of 63-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as East Union also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
East Union was led to victory by Robby Espinosa and Sergio Quezada. Espinosa scored 12 points, while Quezada scored 14 points. The contest was Quezada's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vincent Hudson, who scored 8 points.
East Union's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Modesto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
East Union will be playing in front of their home fans against Stagg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Stagg is ranked 1170th, while East Union is ranked 1167th). As for Modesto, they will head out on the road to face off against Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
