The Creede Miners will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Centennial Rams at 5:00 p.m. Creede will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Saturday, Creede didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bayfield, but they still walked away with a 43-39 win.
Creede's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lila Fairchild led the charge by scoring 33 points along with three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Fairchild has scored at least a third of Creede's points. Another player making a difference was Jalen Laing, who dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and ten blocks.
Meanwhile, Centennial had to suffer through a rough 52-7 loss at the hands of Kim/Branson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Centennial has scored all season.
Creede is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
Creede took a serious blow against Centennial in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 51-20. Will Creede have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
