Bell won the last time they faced Hilliard, and Canaan Johnson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs blew past the Red Flashes 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Johnson, who had 17 assists and three digs. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last five times she's played.

While Bell might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hilliard scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 26-24.

Bell's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Hilliard, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Bell will welcome Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hilliard, they will venture away from home to challenge Baker County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
