Valley Christian (San Jose, Calif.) snapped the 10-game winning streak of
Terra Nova (Pacifica, Calif.), with a 26-7 victory on Saturday.
The score was knotted at seven heading into the half. The Warriors took the lead indefinitely on a touchdown run by
Tre McCloud in the third quarter.
With the win Valley Christian extended its winning streak to five games. Valley Christian defeated St. Ignatius 10-9 last week.
Terra Nova's lone touchdown came on a 54-yard pass from
Anthony Gordon to
Jaylen Jones in the first quarter.
VC went into the matchup giving up only 14.5 points per game. Terra Nova's seven points were well below their season average of 44.3 per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Terra Nova, which notched a 56-0 victory over Half Moon Bay in its previous outing.
