The Harding County Ranchers will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Edgemont Moguls at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. One thing working in Harding County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
Harding County is ranked highly in their home state, and last Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame]. Harding County managed a 64-60 victory over Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame]. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Harding County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kelsi Costello, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Verhulst, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Edgemont had to suffer through a rough 56-28 loss at the hands of Philip. Edgemont has not had much luck with Philip recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Harding County's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Harding County strolled past Edgemont when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 44-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harding County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
