It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Stoughton Black Knights had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They didn't even let Ashland onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The win was just what Stoughton needed coming off of a 38-7 defeat in their prior contest.
Stoughton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Ashland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Stoughton and Canton will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Canton is ranked 90th, while Stoughton is ranked 95th). Ashland will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Hopkinton at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
