The New Washington Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over Paoli.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carley Higgins, who scored 16 points. Higgins scored a full 29.6% of Paoli's points, the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Hall, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Paoli were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
New Washington's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11. As for Paoli, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
New Washington will head out on the road to face off against Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Paoli, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
