Wayne Valley extended the longest winning streak in Big North - Colonial this week by beating Passaic Valley, 41-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Wayne Valley took down the Hornets 41-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Luke Primerano threw for 176 yards and one touchdown and ran for 41 yards in the win.
Anthony Biondi was the best wideout in the league this week as the Indians defeated Passaic Valley. Biondi racked up three receptions for 94 yards. David Drozjock helped Wayne Valley's passing attack out by catching four balls for 67 yards.
Cristian Rodriquez was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 106 yards as Wayne Hills topped Bill Johnson's team. Robby Schiller also contributed to the rushing game with 26 yards on the ground.
Brian Sciortino made the biggest impact on defense this week as Northern Highlands fell to Ramapo. The 6-foot-0 senior racked up one sack.
The Indians' Primerano and Biondi have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Big North - Colonial in both passing and receiving yards. Primerano has thrown for 417 yards this season, while Biondi, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has seven catches for 204 yards. Bobby Brown from the Highlanders leads the league in rushing with 487 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Patriots take on Teaneck. As it stands, Wayne Hills is in second, while the Highwaymen are in fifth.
Wayne Valley made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,471 from 1,704. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-6 victory over the Hornets last week.
