The Hanahan Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Beaufort at home by a decisive 50-33 margin. Hanahan has struggled against Beaufort recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Hanahan still got an impressive performance from Jonah Auckenthaler, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Beaufort was led to victory by Brandon Blackmon and Samari Bonds. Blackmon dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Bonds scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blackmon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Guerin Willis, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Hanahan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Beaufort, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.
Hanahan will square off against North Charleston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaufort, they will be playing at home against Philip Simmons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Philip Simmons is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
