East Central waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Batesville Bulldogs as they made off with a 16-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-0 back in April.

Rose Yunger looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emily Klem was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Broegan Knuz, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

East Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Batesville only posted an OBP of .333.

East Central's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Batesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
