Baseball Recap: Riverview Has No Trouble Against Shady Side Academy

Riverview barely beat Shady Side Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-3 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Eli DeVita was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Riverview and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 7.5 runs. As for Shady Side Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Riverview and Shady Side Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Raiders will challenge Apollo Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (152 vs. 378). Meanwhile, Shady Side Academy (ranked ninth) will meet South Park (ranked 165th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
