Cypress Springs is 0-10 against Langham Creek since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cypress Springs Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Langham Creek Lobos at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Cypress Springs barely beat Alief Elsik the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Cypress Springs was the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over Alief Elsik on Saturday. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Isabella Jordan looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Angelina Fuller was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aleyah Martin, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Cypress Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alief Elsik only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Langham Creek never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past Klein 12-0. Considering the Lobos have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Mckenna Simmons and Karli Challburg were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Simmons pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Challburg tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Simmons has allowed since back in April of 2024. At bat, Simmons went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Challburg scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Simmons has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mia Martinez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebekah Foster, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Langham Creek is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. Cypress Springs' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4-1.
Cypress Springs suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Langham Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Cypress Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
