Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Buckhorn's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Buckhorn's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They didn't even let the Columbia Eagles on the board, marking the Bucks' second-straight 17-0 shutout. Considering the Bucks have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Buckhorn is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Columbia, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5.

Buckhorn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Lee on the 3rd. As for Columbia, they will face off against St. John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
