Even though the Hoxie Indians scored an imposing 66 points on Monday, the Ness City Eagles still came out on top. Ness City took their game against Hoxie 75-66. For Ness City, this counts as revenge for the 66-45 loss Hoxie walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.
Ness City can attribute much of their success to Kaleb Pavlu, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. William Childers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Ness City back to even at 1-1. As for Hoxie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Ness City will be playing in front of their home fans against Northern Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Northern Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday. Hoxie will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thomas More Prep-Marian at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
