After two games on the road, Imani Christian Academy is heading back home. They will take on The Yough Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Imani Christian Academy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matches.
Imani Christian Academy can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 31-0 win over Ligonier Valley on the road. Given Imani Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Ligonier Valley is ranked 500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Yough's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-14 walloping at the hands of Steel Valley. Yough was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
Although Yough took the loss, they still got scores from Mikey Nogy and Shane Swope.
Imani Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points per game. As for Yough, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Imani Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Yough in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 and fell 15-12. Will Imani Christian Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road?
