Bristol has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Chalker Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chalker took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bristol, who comes in off a win.
After only 19 points in their last match, Bristol made sure to put some points up on the board against Lordstown on Monday. Bristol breezed by Lordstown at home to the tune of 67-15. Bristol's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bristol's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Brook led the charge by scoring 17 points along with five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brook has scored at least 25% of Bristol's points. Another player making a difference was Sammy Mansfield, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Chalker was beaten by Mathews 49-14 on December 4th.
Bristol's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Chalker, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.
Bristol came up short against Chalker when the teams last played back in January, falling 54-42. Thankfully for Bristol, Mia Russomanno (who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
