Even though the Southmoore SaberCats scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, the Westmoore Jaguars still came out on top. Westmoore walked away with a 73-63 victory over the SaberCats. Given Westmoore's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the SaberCats are ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westmoore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ivan Antwi donkor, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Antwi donkor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Loper, who scored 18 points.
Westmoore is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Southmoore, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westmoore will challenge the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Southmoore, they will head out on the road to take on the Pioneers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
