It was a good run, but Alma unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 74-46 loss at the hands of the Freeland Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Falcons are ranked 14th).

Alma's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Freeland, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Alma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freeland, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Freeland Falcons take on Frankenmuth Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. They have been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three matchups.
