After a string of five wins, Summer Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boswell Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Pioneers are ranked first).

Camille Williams was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 17 on her way to 21 points and seven rebounds for Boswell. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Sydney Durrah was another key player, going 6 of 15 on her way to 17 points.

Summer Creek's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Boswell, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-1.

Summer Creek won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Central at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
