The Chandler Prep Titans entered their tilt with the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Chandler Prep escaped with a win on Friday against Santa Cruz Valley by the margin of a single free throw, 55-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Chandler Prep also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Noah Ruiz, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb So, who scored 13 points.
Chandler Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Santa Cruz Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chandler Prep will challenge Tempe Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tempe Prep is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Santa Cruz Valley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against St. Augustine Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
