The Washington Patriots waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They strolled past Oak Hill with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.
Lexi Adams had a dynamite game for Washington, scoring 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Miriangelis Rivera, who scored ten points.
Washington pushed their record up to 7-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Oak Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Spring Valley at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th. Spring Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Washington in West Virginia (Spring Valley is ranked eighth, while Washington is ranked 45th). As for Oak Hill, Oak Hill and Riverside will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
