After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Brawley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Imperial Tigers. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Brawley was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 25-23.

Lucca Rubin paced Brawley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Rubin really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 20. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Brawley is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Imperial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-13.

Coincidentally, Brawley and Imperial will both be playing Southwest EC the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
