The Coeur du Christ Academy Saints will face off against the Deary Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Coeur du Christ Academy barely beat Lakeside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saints put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 54-32 victory two weeks ago. Considering the Saints have won four matchups by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Grant Clemens went supernova, throwing for 345 yards and seven TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Clemens is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Coeur du Christ Academy's leading receiver Greg Hayes was Clemens' top target yet again, picking up 135 receiving yards and three scores.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deary). They claimed a resounding 52-14 win over Lakeside. With the Mustangs ahead 38-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Deary's win came from a few key players Coeur du Christ Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jarrett Keen, who threw for 151 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 68 yards and a pair of TDs. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Deary's leading receiver Jacob Mechling was Keen's top target yet again, picking up 135 receiving yards and three scores.
Deary didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mechling and Cruze Sanderson. Mechling also posted 135 receiving yards, which is notable because Deary is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Coeur du Christ Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Deary, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Coeur du Christ Academy took a serious blow against Deary when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 60-24. Thankfully for the Saints, TJ Beyer (who rushed for 248 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 53 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
