The Unioto Shermans gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They strolled past Miami Trace with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. For Unioto, this counts as revenge for the 59-46 loss Miami Trace walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Zeke Schobelock, who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of K.B. Perkins, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Unioto's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Miami Trace, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Unioto will square off against Zane Trace at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Miami Trace's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chillicothe at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
