For the first time this season, Foothill will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Mira Monte Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Foothill barely beat Rosamond the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans put the hurt on the Roadrunners with a sharp 54-30 win last Friday. The Trojans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Andrew Trevino
09/19/25 @ Rosamond | 225 |
09/12/25 vs Delano | 32 |
09/05/25 @ East Bakersfield | 88 |
08/29/25 vs California City | 140 |
Andrew Trevino was his usual excellent self, rushing for 225 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 121.2 rushing yards per game. Martin Velasquez was another key rusher, rushing for 125 yards and one TD on only 15 carries.
Foothill's run defense was locked in: Rosamond could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Aiden Amaya for the heroic effort on defense: he. Foothill didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.2.
Foothill's defense didn't let Marvin Alvarado., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 3.1 sacks. Anthony Perez refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.3 sacks all by himself. Cash McAfee got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Mira Monte hadn't done well against East Bakersfield recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 43-20 margin over the Blades. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 25, 2024 (when they won 45-0).
Mira Monte now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Foothill, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
Foothill was able to grind out a solid victory over Mira Monte in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 35-25. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Lions' Nathan Gonzales, who rushed for 158 yards and three scores, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Trojans still be able to contain Gonzales? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
