Even though the DSST: Montview Knights scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, the Colorado Academy Mustangs still came out on top. Colorado Academy strolled past DSST: Montview with points to spare, taking the game 77-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Colorado Academy.
Among those leading the charge was Jason Bratis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was George Buyers, who scored 17 points.
Colorado Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for DSST: Montview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colorado Academy will face off against D'Evelyn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DSST: Montview, they will head out on the road to face off against James Irwin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully James Irwin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
