Even though the Legacy Lightning have not done well against the Boulder Panthers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Legacy walked away with a 60-47 win over Boulder. The win was nothing new for Legacy as they're now sitting on four straight.
Legacy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Domsch, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Delescinskis, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Boulder lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being George Schmid, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Schmid scored 15 or more points. Kyle Blauch was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Boulder, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-8.
Legacy will take on Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Brighton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Legacy is ranked 57th). As for Boulder, they will head out on the road to challenge Poudre at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Poudre is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
