Brady Delk was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Franklin-Simpson's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Delk was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Braylon Turner was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Griff Banton, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Lincoln County came up short against Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
