The Pendleton Heights Arabians will take on the Lawrence North Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pendleton Heights has nine straight wins, Lawrence North has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Pendleton Heights narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Shelbyville 6-4.

Jacob Garner tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jackson Grile was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Williamson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence North took on North Central on Wednesday. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.
Pendleton Heights' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lawrence North, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Lawrence North's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pendleton Heights hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. It's a different story for Lawrence North, though, as they've only averaged .203. Will they be able to contain Pendleton Heights' hitters?
Pendleton Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against Lawrence North when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Arabians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
