Banff lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vincent Steiner, who scored three points along with six rebounds and five steals. Steiner also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vinnie Chu, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Shady Acres Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Banff, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shady Acres Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Banff, they will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
