Sadly, the Wortham Bulldogs are still looking for their first win of the season after 18 contests. They took a serious blow against Dawson on Tuesday, falling 54-15. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Wortham of the 44-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Dawson was led to victory by Joselynn Wilson and Callie Marberry. Wilson scored 12 points along with four steals, while Marberry almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Marberry hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Josie Oakes was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Wortham's loss was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Dawson, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.
Wortham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dawson also has no future games currently scheduled.
