There's no place like home for Washington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let the Musselman Applemen get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Sven Dupree, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Brayden Edwards was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Washington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Musselman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season.

Washington will challenge Hedgesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Musselman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
