Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilbert). They claimed a resounding 79-31 win over the Desert Ridge Jaguars. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 37 point advantage.

Gilbert was led to victory by Tylaiah Wily and Aspen McClees. Wily dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists, while McClees went 12 for 19 on her way to 30 points and four blocks. Those four blocks gave McClees a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Contessa Ivy, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Gilbert smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive matches.

Gilbert pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Desert Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilbert will square off against Campo Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert Ridge, they will face off against Red Mountain at 5:03 p.m. on Tuesday.
