Jasper entered their tilt with Gibson Southern on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Gibson Southern Titans 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since December 29, 2023.

Gibson Southern's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Schnaus, who went 8 of 12 en route to 17 points along with five boards and four blocks. Schnaus has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nola Ravellette, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points.

Jasper has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Gibson Southern, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Jasper didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 35-24 loss against Evansville Reitz on the 27th. Gibson Southern has also already played their next contest, a 68-63 victory against North Posey on the 28th.
