The Osage Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mexico Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Osage has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Mexico will arrive with nine straight wins.
Two weeks ago, Osage came up short against Versailles and fell 67-54. Osage has not had much luck with Versailles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, even though Marshall scored an imposing 63 points on Monday, Mexico still came out on top. Mexico strolled past Marshall with points to spare, taking the game 82-63. Given Mexico's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Marshall is ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Osage's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mexico, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.
