Kolbe-Cathedral put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Terryville Kangaroos as they made off with a 15-7 victory. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Kolbe-Cathedral got a massive performance out of Ben Marshall, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Robert Taylor was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
Marshall wasn't the only one making solid contact: Kolbe-Cathedral kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Kolbe-Cathedral pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Terryville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
