The Troy Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Springboro Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Troy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Butler on Monday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Aviators. Considering the Trojans have won eight contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Julia Rose tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maliah Shaw, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Shaw is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Amayah Kennedy was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Troy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Butler only posted an OBP of .350.
Meanwhile, Springboro came up short against Fairmont on Monday and fell 7-3.
Springboro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Springboro's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Troy, their record is now 11-0.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Troy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .494. However, it's not like Springboro struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Troy might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Springboro in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
