Centreville has gone 7-2 against South Lakes recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will welcome the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Centreville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully South Lakes likes a good challenge.
If Centreville beats South Lakes with 35 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Wildcats walked away with a 35-28 victory over Westfield on Friday.

Will Shields continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 74 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 271 yards and two TDs while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Those 74 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. 118 of Shields' passing yards were hauled in by Jourdan Simpson.
Meanwhile, South Lakes suffered their biggest defeat since November 8, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by James Madison 49-16. The Seahawks gained 74 more yards on the day, but it was the Warhawks that made the best use of them.
Centreville will need to focus on slowing down Christian Wyatt, one of several South Lakes players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 163 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 57 yards. South Lakes' leading receiver Josh Dagbe was Wyatt's top target yet again, picking up 110 receiving yards and one score.
Centreville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.3 points over those games. As for South Lakes, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.
Thursday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Shields and Wyatt. Shields just won't slow down this season and has thrown 19 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 256 passing yards per game. Wyatt has been a dominant force too and has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 209.2 passing yards per game.
We should be in store for an exciting game as Centreville and South Lakes have no problem gaining yardage. The Wildcats have been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 401.1 total yards per game. However, it's not like South Lakes struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 360.1 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other football content.
