Pompton Lakes extended the longest winning streak in North Jersey - Liberty this week by beating Lyndhurst, 35-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
New Milford's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Connor Swanson threw for 97 yards and Andrew McElroy had 45 yards receiving. On the ground Dante Tobler chipped in 235 yards. Kevin Soriano helped New Milford's passing attack out by catching one ball for 38 yards.
Pompton Lakes' Robbie Meyers and Corey Flynn have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Meyers has thrown for 410 yards this season, while Flynn, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 10 catches for 156 yards. The Knights' Tobler leads the league in rushing yards with 841.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Secaucus takes on Cresskill. The Patriots are in third place, while the Cougars are in fourth place.
Secaucus took down Harrison 46-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jl Castellanos ran for 170 yards in the win.
