They slipped by Jackson South Side 42-41. For Chester County, this counts as revenge for the 64-25 defeat Jackson South Side walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Jackson South Side's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaidynn Askins, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, and Felicity Long who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Long has scored all season.
Chester County pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Jackson South Side, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester County will take on McNairy Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson South Side, they will be playing at home against Jackson North Side at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson North Side comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
