Nueces Canyon was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Utopia on Monday. The Nueces Canyon Panthers really took it to the Utopia Buffaloes for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-27 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nueces Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Schreiner Meredith, who went 8 for 13 en route to 18 points and eight boards. Meredith has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Idrianna DeLeon was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points along with eight boards and five steals.

Nueces Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Utopia, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14-1.

Nueces Canyon will head out to take on Comstock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Utopia, they will host D'Hanis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
