Heritage had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Carman-Ainsworth on Tuesday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 14-1 win. Considering the Hawks have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Heritage's fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-13. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carman-Ainsworth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 18 of their last 19 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-23 record this season.
