Southside lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being I'Kiriyah Minor, who scored ten points. The matchup was Minor's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was De'Najah Warren, who scored four points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Croatan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neely McMannen, who scored ten points. McMannen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Landry Clifton was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Southside has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-3 record this season. As for Croatan, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
