Dickinson is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while the Wolverines are on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dickinson Gators will take on the Clear Brook Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dickinson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 22 matches -- so hopefully the Wolverines like a good challenge.
Last Friday, Dickinson strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. Given Dickinson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Wildcats are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jazmine Hansley was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Williams, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Clear Brook made off with a 43-42 win over the Wildcats.
Dickinson is on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season. As for Clear Brook, their win bumped their record up to 14-15.
Everything came up roses for Dickinson against the Wolverines in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 90-50 win. With Dickinson ahead 42-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
