Volleyball Recap: Cabool Comes Up Short

After flying high against Plato on Tuesday, Cabool came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Winona Wildcats on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Cabool was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Cabool saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacie Mcminn had 16 digs and one assist. Mcminn has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Cabool's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Winona, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Cabool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Woodland on the 12th. As for Winona, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Advance on the 12th.
