The Parke Heritage Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Greencastle Tiger Cubs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parke Heritage will be strutting in after a win while Greencastle will be coming in after a loss.
Parke Heritage came out on top against Covington on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Wolves took their match against the Trojans 8-4. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 15, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Aerianna Desmith made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taya Sturmer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Addison Coffman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.
Parke Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covington only posted an OBP of .323.
Cascade hit Greencastle with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tiger Cubs lost 9-1 to the Cadets.
Greencastle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brinley Mullis, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Parke Heritage's record is now 3-7. As for Greencastle, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Greencastle's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parke Heritage has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. It's a different story for Greencastle, though, as they've only averaged .346. Will they be able to contain Parke Heritage's hitters?
Parke Heritage couldn't quite get it done against Greencastle when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
