Floyd Central won the last time they faced Prestonsburg and things went their way  on Monday too. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Blackcats with a sharp  11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won ten matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Whitley Hall made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Cadyn Roberson was a standout: she got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Delilah Rodriguez was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with five  stolen bases and two  runs.
The  victory made it two in a row for Floyd Central and  bumps their season record up to 17-10. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7  runs in those games. As for Prestonsburg,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-15.
As of now, neither Floyd Central nor the Blackcats have any future games scheduled.
