There's no place like home for the Central Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Potomac by a score of 84-77 on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Bryan, who scored 24 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Bryan has scored at least 25% of Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Polonia, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
The victory got Central back to even at 1-1. As for Potomac, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Potomac, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Surrattsville at 7:15 p.m.
