Having just played yesterday, the Dos Palos Broncos will jump right back in to play the Torres Toros at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dos Palos is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Dos Palos struggled with offensive rebounds on Wednesday (East Bakersfield had 12 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Dos Palos was beaten by East Bakersfield 83-51.
The losing side was boosted by Jacquez Jones, who scored 17 points. He scored a full 33.3% of Dos Palos' points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Renteria, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Torres scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Reedley with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Torres has managed all season.
Dos Palos' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Torres, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
