Melbourne and Titusville are an even 4-4-1 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Melbourne Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Titusville Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Melbourne will be strutting in after a victory while Titusville will be coming in after a defeat.
Melbourne took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over Port St. Lucie.
Melbourne found their leader in underclassman Cecelia Nardone, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals. Addyson Turba was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-26, which was the final score in Titusville's tilt against Merritt Island Christian on Monday.
Melbourne's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Titusville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Melbourne couldn't quite finish off Titusville in their previous meeting back in January and fell 35-33. Thankfully for Melbourne, Krishanti Slaughter (who scored 17 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
